Our Operational Inspection provides a more detailed assessment of a playground’s structural and mechanical integrity, ensuring the equipment remains safe and fully functional between comprehensive inspections.

This inspection typically includes:

• All elements of the Routine Visual Inspection
• Testing equipment stability and functionality
• Checking for excessive wear on moving parts
• Verifying bolts, joints, and fasteners are secure
• Inspecting for corrosion, rot, or concrete foundation exposure

Our Routine Visual Inspection focuses on identifying obvious hazards for maintaining a safe environment for daily use.

This inspection typically includes:

• Recognising noticeable hazards caused by regular wear, vandalism, or weather
• Identifying hazardous debris such as glass, needles, or rubbish
• Checking soft-fall surfacing levels and trip hazards
• Spotting damaged or hanging tree branches over play areas
• Reporting any immediate hazards that require attention

Our Comprehensive Post-Installation Inspection delivers a detailed assessment, which must be completed before a new playground opens to the public to ensure it is safe and compliant.

This inspection typically includes:

• Full verification of conformity with the AS 4685 series
• Identification and documentation of any non-conformances
• Impact-attenuation (soft-fall) testing under AS 4422
• Risk and risk-benefit assessments for identified issues

• Visual safety assessment of pathways, edges, and surrounding areas
• Reviewing yard compliance with Education and Care Services National Regulations regarding safe outdoor environments
